Author's POV
"Take your time. You need time to process all this. I will come back tomorrow... to take you back as my wife," he said before leaving.
She stood there, frozen, trying to process the reality she had just uncovered.
She went downstairs, took the car keys, sat in the car, and started driving.
And do you all know where?
Towards the house of her sweet, most loved, and most cared-for brother.
She was going to give him a very big surprise-one he would never forget in his lifetime.
Ekansh was following her car. He never left her. He could never leave her alone in such a situation. That was why he had been standing outside her mansion, and when he saw her leaving, he started following her.
Ananya entered Advay's mansion as soon as she reached there.
"ADVAY RAJVANSHI!" Ananya shouted at the top of her lungs.
"WHAT HAPPENED???" Advay came downstairs, panicked after hearing her shout. He saw Ananya standing there.
"You just went back to your mansion. Why are you here again? I haven't done anything this time," he said.
"And why are your eyes so red? What happened?" he asked.
She grabbed him by his collar.
"You bastard, you played with me all this time. You were playing with my feelings. I always treated you as my real brother, and what did you do? You betrayed me. I never imagined that you would do this to me. I hate you. I really do," Ananya said, releasing his collar and pushing him back.
"What the hell? What are you saying, Ananya? When did I betray you?" he asked.
"You are Ekansh's friend, and you didn't even tell me. You've been fooling me for so long, and now you're asking when you betrayed me?" she said.
"What? He told you?" he asked, shocked, knowing no one could save him now.
"Yes, he told me everything," she replied.
"See, Ananya, whether I am his friend or not doesn't matter. I consider you my real sister. Yes, he told me to take care of you, but now I do it because I genuinely see you as my sister. If I ever had a sister in this life, she would definitely be like you," he said.
"Really?" she asked, faking innocence.
"Really," he replied.
"So now you are emotionally blackmailing me?" she said, her expression suddenly turning angry.
She picked up a broom and started hitting him with it.
"I won't fall for your sweet talk, you idiot!" she said.
"I will kill you today!" she added, chasing him around.
Meanwhile, Ekansh was watching everything from the window. Though he wasn't sad seeing his best friend getting beaten by his wife, he was actually enjoying it.
"Hit him more, he deserves this. He indirectly spiked your drink," Ekansh muttered to himself.
He knew that Advay and Ananya saw each other as siblings and would never truly hurt each other.
"Ananya, please leave me! I'm sorry!" Advay shouted.
"A sorry can't save you," she replied.
"Then maybe an ice cream?" he suggested.
Ananya paused for a second but then said, "No, not this time," and resumed hitting him.
"Then maybe six ice creams?" he tried again.
This time, Ananya stopped.
"Not six-ten," she said.
"Okay, done!" he agreed immediately, saving himself.
"You broke my back," he complained.
"I haven't yet, but I really can if you want," she said, glaring at him.
"No, no, I was just joking. You sit, I'll bring you ice cream," he said quickly.
"Go fast," she ordered.
"Okay, I'm going," he said, running away to save his life.
"Today she would have killed me. Thank God I'm still alive," he thought as he reached the kitchen, took some boxes of ice cream, and ordered the rest.
"Thank you so much, ice cream. I never thought you would be a lifesaver. I love you so much," he said, kissing the box before taking it out.
"Ananya, your ice cream," he said, handing it to her. She took it, but not before glaring at him.
"I still haven't forgiven you," she said.
"Why?" he asked.
"What do you mean why? Can't you see what you did? How can I forgive you so easily?" she replied.
"Okay then, give me a punishment. You are still my sister, and you have every right to punish me," he said.
"Okay, let me think," she said while eating the ice cream.
"Alright... I won't give you that new bike that just launched," she declared.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" he shouted in shock.
"You can't do this to me! Give me any other punishment, but not this. I will die for sure," he said, pretending to cry.
"I know how much you love bikes. So now forget about it," she said.
"Please, no," he begged.
"No, not at all. Now you will never buy that bike, nor will I give it to you. That's your real punishment," she said.
"You are cruel," he said.
"Not more than you," she replied, finishing her ice cream before leaving and heading back to her mansion.
◇◇◇◇◇◇
The next morning, Ananya woke up and completed her morning routine.
It was Sunday, and she had planned to rest after everything that had happened the previous day.
"Where are you, my wifeyyy?" Ekansh shouted from downstairs.
Her breath hitched the moment she heard his voice-she hadn't expected him to actually come back.
